Sami Briss was born in 1930 in Jassy, Romania.
From 1949 untill 1954 he studied at the at the Art Academy of Bucharest.
He leaves for Israël in 1959 and finally settles down in Paris in 1974, where he lives and works to this day.
Briss participated in many exhibitions all over the world and his work can be found in private collections as well as in collections of different museums.
